The content on this page has been created and explored for the purpose of the topic EDET2305 Multimedia Literacy at Flinders University, South Australia.
I see this topic as an opportunity to work with multimedia tools first hand as a way of learning about them. I believe that the best way to learn is by doing and this topic allows me to do this through explorations and investigations in multimedia.
Multimedia through the realm of technology is an ever growing part of this world and I believe it is an important area to be teaching, exploring and experimenting with, in schools. It is imperative that the teacher is knowledgable of the best ways to use multimedia tools so that the tools can then can be used to the students advantage.
As I am approaching my final year of teaching studies next year I am beginning to think seriously about multimedia tools that can be used in the real classroom. I want to be able to have a firm grip on effective ways to use the tools that will add dimension to student learning in the traditional classroom.
I hope that through my wikispace i can develop a sense of understanding and skill in the area of multimedia literacy and be able to use that knowledge when I am out in schools as a teacher.
